SEO Lead

About the role

Lamington is seeking a senior SEO Lead to own and shape the organic search function for mid‑market e‑commerce and marketplace clients. This is a builder role for an experienced strategist who will apply enterprise‑level rigor while leveraging AI tools to deliver high‑impact results.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end SEO and GEO strategy for complex clients, including high‑SKU e‑commerce sites, marketplaces and lead‑generation platforms.
• Identify and resolve technical debt, crawl bloat, and indexing issues that hinder site performance.
• Lead AI orchestration by using Claude/LLM tools and new Google Search Console capabilities to automate manual SEO tasks.
• Oversee acquisition of high‑quality backlinks and optimise on‑page content for both human users and generative engines.
• Act as a senior consultant, advising clients on investment priorities, in‑house efficiencies and scaling their organic footprint.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience on large‑scale, technically complex sites.
• Strong technical IQ with the ability to communicate effectively with developers and navigate complex CMS platforms.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable growth for e‑commerce or marketplace brands.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on performance‑driven outcomes.
