Senior Technology Architect

About the role

Infosys is looking for a senior‑level Technology Architect to lead performance engineering initiatives for cloud‑native and on‑premise applications. The role combines hands‑on coding, performance tuning, and collaboration with design, architecture, product, and third‑party teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement performance tuning solutions and road‑maps for multi‑cloud, big‑data and payments platforms.
• Develop non‑functional requirements and capacity‑planning strategies for new and existing systems.
• Lead the creation, execution and analysis of performance test plans using industry‑standard tools.
• Collaborate with DevOps, data engineering and development teams to optimise ETL pipelines and data‑flow processes.
• Utilise Microsoft Azure PaaS services (Synapse Analytics, Azure Spark, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake) for testing and optimisation.
• Assess and improve performance of Cloudera, Kafka, micro‑services, Teradata and Oracle environments.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience as a performance engineer or architect.
• Proven ability to write custom Java tools for performance analysis.
• Strong background in capacity planning, chaos engineering and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Experience working with big‑data, payments, and multi‑cloud (Azure, AWS) solutions.
