Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

TOMRA is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer based in its St Leonards office. As the technical lead of the Systems Team, the role covers networks, infrastructure and cloud systems, integrations, Microsoft 365, JIRA, digital signage, CCTV and site connectivity. It is hands-on: troubleshooting complex issues, configuring systems and networks, supporting API integrations, tackling escalated Level 2 incidents and helping new technology go live. The role requires access to a vehicle to travel to sites as required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 configuration, troubleshooting and support for TCA systems, digital signage and third-party systems, including root-cause analysis with permanent fixes
• Configure, test and support new systems and integrations, including UAT support, go-live and hypercare, working with vendors and the project team
• Troubleshoot site and system network connectivity (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPN) and define IP/VLAN/port requirements for new services such as RVM sites, digital signage, CCTV and access-door networks
• Configure and maintain user access and role-based permissions across Microsoft 365 and other business applications
• Configure and support JIRA workflows, permissions, notification rules and service-desk queues
• Support the digital signage platform, including media-player patching, OS/software upgrades, network isolation and CMS-based monitoring
• Automate routine administration and reporting tasks through scripting
• Support security and access-control systems (access control and CCTV) for escalations and new-site commissioning
• Contribute to audits and compliance, including access reviews and audit-ready evidence
• Maintain SOPs, technical design documents, network diagrams, RACI matrices and disaster-recovery procedures
• Manage tickets, ensure SLA compliance, coordinate with vendors and Group IT, and mentor Level 1 administrators

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer/network engineering, information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Strong experience in a senior systems, infrastructure or network engineering role, ideally in a multi-site enterprise environment
• Hands-on connectivity troubleshooting and solid Level 2 troubleshooting and incident-handling skills
• Technical documentation and stakeholder communication skills, with a flexible, hands-on approach
