Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

Atturra Managed Services is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to provide advanced operational support, drive continuous improvement, and mentor engineers across customer and internal environments. You will ensure platform health, resolve complex issues, and uphold service level agreements and security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as senior escalation point for complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
• Maintain and improve monitoring, alerting, patching and overall operational health of managed services.
• Administer Microsoft Windows Server services (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, GPO, RDS, IIS) and manage Windows 10/11 endpoint lifecycle.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Intune/Endpoint Manager and related security features.
• Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper‑V virtual environments, including storage (SAN/NAS) capacity planning.
• Administer enterprise backup solutions (Veeam, Commvault), conduct health checks, restore testing and support disaster‑recovery activities.
• Create and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Ansible) to reduce manual effort and improve service quality.
• Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers and contribute to SOPs, knowledge‑base articles and standardisation efforts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior‑level systems administration within a managed services or similar environment.
• Strong problem‑management skills with a track record of reducing recurring incidents.
• Ability to work on‑call rotations and collaborate with service delivery managers, project teams and customer stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
