Senior Structural Engineer – Buildings Structures

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Buildings Structures practice in either Sydney or Newcastle. You will help design and deliver carbon‑neutral, sustainable building projects while acting as a key client liaison.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of concrete and steel building structures for diverse, bespoke projects.
• Produce and review design documentation, including drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Provide construction‑phase support across a wide range of projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee calculations and details prepared by the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience on large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary projects, preferably in public buildings, transport or data centres.
• Proven ability to coach and develop emerging talent.
