Senior Solutions Architect – InfiniBand & Ethernet Networking

About the role

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to join its Infrastructure Specialist Team. The role focuses on designing, deploying, and supporting large‑scale AI/HPC networking solutions using InfiniBand and Ethernet technologies for global academic and commercial customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build AI/HPC infrastructure for new and existing customers, covering networking, system design, and automation.
• Support operational reliability of large AI clusters, including performance monitoring, logging, alerting, and lifecycle management from design through deployment and refinement.
• Maintain live services by measuring availability, latency, and overall system health, and provide feedback to internal teams through bug reports and documentation.

Required profile

• BS/MS/PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related fields.
• 5+ years of professional experience with networking fundamentals, Ethernet or InfiniBand, and hands‑on work with switch/router platforms such as Cumulus Linux, SONiC, IOS, JunosOS, EOS.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Ethernet, InfiniBand, RDMA core principles and cluster deployment.
• Experience with adapter configuration, firmware maintenance, and performance benchmarking using RDMA testing tools.
• Proficiency in automated network provisioning using Ansible, Salt, Python and CI/CD pipeline development.
• Practical RDMA optimization (QP tuning, MTU configuration, congestion control) and troubleshooting of network anomalies.
• Familiarity with high‑performance computing architectures, job schedulers (Slurm, PBS) and GPU‑focused hardware/software.
