About the role
Google’s Geo team is looking for a senior software engineer to build next‑generation navigation, search and AI features for Google Maps on CarPlay. You will work across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with product, UX and senior engineers to deliver high‑impact products used by billions worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end features for Google Maps on CarPlay, including navigation, search and AI capabilities.
- Manage the full software lifecycle, partnering with product managers and UX designers to define requirements.
- Lead technical design discussions and mentor other engineers on the team.
- Collaborate with experienced senior developers to ensure robust architecture and scalability.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, with at least 5 years of software development experience.
- Minimum 3 years of iOS application development and 3 years of experience testing, maintaining or launching software products.
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
