Senior Software Engineer II – Liveness Detection

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to design and implement advanced liveness detection systems that protect biometric authentication from spoofing attacks. You will work within the IDVerse team, a Sydney‑based pioneer in digital identity verification, building AI‑driven solutions that operate at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop AI algorithms for liveness detection, analysing facial features, eye movements and physiological cues.
• Build, train and optimise deep‑learning models for real‑time spoof detection.
• Perform feature engineering on biometric data, including texture, motion and 3D depth analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists to collect, clean and preprocess large training datasets.
• Implement multimodal detection pipelines integrating facial, fingerprint and iris recognition.
• Test and validate systems in real‑world scenarios to ensure robustness and accuracy.

Required profile

• Strong background in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML applications.
• Experience developing and deploying deep‑learning models for computer‑vision tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast‑moving engineering team.
