Senior Social Worker - Chronic Pain Clinic

About the role

Goulburn Valley Health is seeking a Grade 3 Senior Social Worker to join its Chronic Pain Clinic (CPC) in Shepparton on a part-time basis of 4 days per fortnight (48 hours per fortnight) until November 2027. This is a 0.6 EFT 12-month parental leave position suitable for an established Grade 3 clinician. The CPC provides clinical assessment and, where indicated, time-limited treatment for clients with prolonged pain and moderate disability, or with entrenched chronic pain and high levels of disability, aiming to reduce the risk of long-term disability and help clients self-manage their condition.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, recommend and apply current, individualised and evidence-based interventions and supports for clients with complex, chronic pain.
• Deliver these interventions in one-on-one client consultations in the clinic and in group programs.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team, playing a key role in leading service planning, development and quality activities.

Required profile

• An established Grade 3 clinician.
• Qualifications are a requirement for the position; a copy must be attached to the application.
• Pre-employment screening checks may be required, including Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening, police checks, aged care statutory declaration, visas and working rights in Australia, and immunisations as mandated by the Department of Health.
