Senior Social & Digital Media Officer – Queensland Education

About the role

The Queensland Department of Education is seeking a Senior Social and Digital Media Officer to shape how the state’s education story is communicated. You will create compelling content, lead digital campaigns, and grow audiences across corporate social media channels, helping to build trust and showcase the value of state education.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of innovative social and digital media content and campaigns.
• Provide strategic advice on platform strategy, audience growth, engagement and risk management.
• Plan, implement and evaluate digital campaigns to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Identify emerging trends and leverage insights to maximise opportunities across digital channels.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships to support effective communication initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong experience in social media and digital marketing strategy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse performance data and optimise campaigns.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Experience in fast‑paced or complex environments; government experience is a plus.
