Senior Signalling System Engineer

About the role

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Signalling System Engineer for a full-time hybrid position based in Brisbane, Queensland. The role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable handling tasks ranging from administrative to strategic.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, manage and deliver the system and functional requirements across the project life cycle (design and testing).
• Manage project interfaces between subsystems and with external parties according to the scope of work.
• Deliver system engineering technical documents on time, on budget and to quality, and carry out verification of system integration documents according to the V&V plan.
• Propose improvements and updates to design standards in line with process and technology improvements.
• Support the implementation of effective technical solutions, such as interfaces with customers.
• Carry out system engineering studies, including fleet sizing calculations and operational scenario analysis.
• Perform system integration tests in a timely and effective way.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent technical background.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in transportation system engineering.
