Senior Security Solutions Architect – Splunk (APJC)

About the role

Join Cisco's high‑performing, globally distributed security team as a Senior Security Solutions Architect focused on Splunk. Based in Melbourne (or Sydney), you will act as the technical authority for Splunk’s security business across the APJC region, bridging complex customer challenges with innovative security solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Shape security vision for high‑value customers, aligning Splunk capabilities with long‑term SIEM, threat detection, and AI‑driven Security Operations goals.
• Engage CISOs and senior technical decision‑makers to translate business risk into robust architectures and solve complex security problems.
• Lead competitive displacement campaigns and multi‑stakeholder technical sales engagements, mobilising resources across Cisco and Splunk.
• Mentor and up‑skill the APJC technical field through workshops, reference architectures, and repeatable sales motions.
• Represent APJC customer voice to global product and engineering teams, providing insights on market trends and regional requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (8+ years), Master’s (6+ years) or PhD (3+ years) in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Significant experience in cybersecurity, security operations, security architecture or technical pre‑sales/consulting.
• Proven ability to engage senior technical leaders and lead complex, multi‑geography sales engagements.

Required skills

• Deep technical knowledge of enterprise SIEM, threat detection, response and modern security architecture.
• Expertise with Splunk, Cisco security portfolio, SOC transformation, detection engineering, threat hunting and security automation.
• Experience positioning against competitors in SIEM, XDR and security data platform markets.
