Senior Psychologist - Prison Mental Health (Maryborough)

About the role

Prison Mental Health is recruiting a Senior Psychologist for the Prison Mental Health Services (PMHS) team at Maryborough Correctional Centre. The role provides high-level clinical services and leadership for forensic mental health care, working with adult patients who have complex mental health needs. It is a temporary full-time position of 76 hours per fortnight, from appointment until 27 February 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-level clinical and forensic psychology services to adult patients of the PMHS
• Provide professional leadership, consultation, supervision and clinical input in forensic mental health
• Contribute to staff training, skill development and the development and review of training, research, policy and clinical practice guidelines for psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions
