Senior Project/Construction Manager – Data Centres (FIFO/DIDO)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Project/Construction Manager to lead a major data centre project in New South Wales. This FIFO/DIDO position places you as the client’s primary on‑site representative, overseeing delivery against schedule, budget and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead weekly and bi‑weekly site visits, chair developer roundtables and hold developers and contractors accountable.
• Protect the critical path, identify risks early, and drive programme acceleration where needed.
• Produce bi‑weekly site visit reports, roundtable minutes, action logs, and status updates for the client.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of total project and construction management experience, including 8+ years delivering data centre projects.
• Strong background with general contractors or senior site delivery roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; postgraduate project management qualification highly regarded.

Required skills

• Full project lifecycle management from mobilisation to construction completion.
• Critical path management and programme recovery expertise.
• Ability to manage GC, EC and MC interfaces and drive accountability.
