Senior Project Officer

About the role

The Senior Project Officer will work within the Infrastructure Division of the Department of Education, supporting the Asset Investment Program through high‑quality reporting and stakeholder engagement. This permanent full‑time position starts in October 2026 and is based in East Perth, with flexible working options.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare regular program and project reports for internal and external stakeholder groups.
• Analyse performance data and trends, respond to information requests, and develop executive and Ministerial briefing materials.
• Identify, validate, collate and transform data from multiple sources and maintain reporting tools related to infrastructure programmes.
• Research and prepare status and progress reports for the Asset Investment Program and maintenance projects.
• Utilise reporting tools and software systems to compile, organise and present project data clearly for the intended audience.

Required profile

• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management abilities, working closely with internal teams, senior executives and external agencies.
• Proven experience in capital works and maintenance project management, with the ability to prioritise work, meet targets and deliver results efficiently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reporting tools and software systems for data compilation and presentation.
• Data analysis and transformation skills.
