Senior Project Manager – Time & Attendance/Payroll (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a national time‑and‑attendance and payroll transformation for a well‑known organisation in Melbourne. The role is a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension, reporting to senior stakeholders and driving successful delivery of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of the time‑and‑attendance and payroll transformation programme.
• Collaborate with senior and influential stakeholders to define scope, timelines and success criteria.
• Manage project plans, budgets, risks and issues, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, including IT, HR and finance, to implement new processes and workflows.
• Provide regular status updates and executive reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale payroll or time‑and‑attendance projects.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, workflows and related compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and make data‑driven decisions.
