Senior Project Manager – Data Centres

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex data centre projects. You will act as the primary client interface, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage end‑to‑end data centre projects, coordinating design, construction and post‑completion phases.
• Develop strong client relationships, solve problems, and drive projects to successful completion.
• Oversee design processes, review plans, specifications, schedules and cost‑saving measures.
• Manage project safety, environmental requirements, timelines, risks and reporting.
• Control budgets, advise on options to keep costs on track, and coordinate vendor scopes.
• Draft contract documents using approved templates and ensure timely processing.

Required profile

• Professional or tertiary qualification in project management, engineering or construction.
• 5–10 years of project management experience, preferably in data centre or similar technical environments.
• Thorough understanding of the full project life‑cycle from inception to post‑project review.
• Excellent written and spoken English with strong report and bid writing skills.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure: HVAC, electrical systems, generators, fire protection, security and BMS.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills; Primavera experience is highly regarded.
• Proficiency in project management concepts, tools and techniques.
