Senior Project Engineer - Civil Works

About the role

A growing, privately owned civil construction business is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to drive site engineering on an essential energy infrastructure project. Most works are delivered by the contractor's own workforce, so you will take ownership of day-to-day engineering and influence how labour, plant and materials come together on site. You will join at the start of construction and report to a Senior Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Turn drawings and plans into safely delivered civil works, supporting the package from mobilisation through construction, commissioning support and handover.
• Plan and coordinate self-performed civil works, aligning labour, plant, materials and subcontractors with programme targets while keeping safety and specifications central.
• Translate drawings and technical requirements into practical site support, coordinate stakeholder interfaces and resolve construction issues.
• Support procurement and material supply, monitor productivity, costs and progress, and maintain QA records, ITPs and inspections through to Practical Completion.

Required profile

• Civil Engineering degree or similar.
• 4+ years' experience as an engineer on civil infrastructure projects.
• Excellent safety record from previous projects.

Required skills

• Interpret civil, structural and services drawings and raise and manage technical queries.
• Understand construction scheduling, sequencing and quality control systems.
