Senior Project Engineer - Civil

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Civil to join the Energy Hubs and Substations team for the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone transmission project in Sydney. The role will support the design, construction and delivery of high‑capacity 500kV and 330kV transmission lines and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide positive leadership to subcontractors, monitoring and controlling their performance.
• Ensure workmanship quality on‑site and off‑site complies with specifications and procedures.
• Drive a top‑down and bottom‑up commitment to quality throughout the project.
• Guarantee that appropriate personnel with delegated responsibilities are in place to integrate quality procedures.
• Prioritise and resolve all outstanding project defects.
• Implement and oversee the project quality plan.
• Provide technical support to the project team as required.

Required profile

• Senior‑level civil engineering professional.
• Experience with high‑voltage transmission line projects (500kV, 330kV).
• Proven ability to lead subcontractors and manage quality on large infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with renewable energy zone development and network construction.
