Senior Procurement Officer

About the role

Ausenco is seeking a Senior Procurement Officer to join its South Brisbane team. You will lead procurement initiatives for complex engineering projects, ensuring compliant and competitive sourcing while supporting internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement and tendering activities, including the creation of request for proposals (RFPs) and tender documentation.
• Manage tender release, evaluation, recommendation, and support contract negotiations, drafting and award.
• Develop and raise purchase orders and generate expediting reports using SmartPlant Materials.
• Collate, verify, and maintain contract documentation to meet audit requirements.
• Expedite material deliveries to ensure timely arrival on site.
• Process procurement requests and enquiries while maintaining accurate records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar procurement role within an engineering or construction environment.
• Strong understanding of project procurement processes.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Background knowledge of infrastructure, plant, and materials.
• High attention to detail and strict adherence to policies and procedures.
• Team‑oriented mindset and commitment to a safe work environment.
