Senior Procurement Manager – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

A leading Australian resources company is undertaking a major procurement transformation and seeks a Senior Procurement Manager on a 12‑month contract. You will act as a trusted commercial advisor, guiding strategic sourcing, contract optimisation and integration across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, RFQ/RFP and tender processes.
• Drive contract optimisation, supplier rationalisation and procurement governance.
• Analyse spend, demand and inventory trends to uncover cost‑saving opportunities.
• Improve procurement visibility, reporting and ERP/SAP integration.
• Manage supplier performance, commercial risk and stakeholder engagement.
• Support procurement integration for acquired or transitioning business units.
• Provide executive reporting and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Strong background in sourcing, procurement or category management.
• Experience in Mining, Resources, Utilities or Renewable Energy sectors.
• Leadership experience in transformation, integration or M&A environments.
• Proven stakeholder management and commercial negotiation abilities.
