Senior Physiotherapist (Subacute) - Maryborough

About the role

Queensland Health is recruiting a Senior Physiotherapist (Subacute) for the Physiotherapy Department at Maryborough Hospital in the Wide Bay. The role delivers high-level physiotherapy clinical services to the subacute wards and acts as a clinical resource for the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service Fraser Coast. It is a temporary full-time position of 76 hours per fortnight, from the date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-level physiotherapy clinical services to the subacute wards and act as a resource in your area of expertise across the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service Fraser Coast.
• Provide professional leadership in geriatric physiotherapy, including clinical practice supervision of less experienced physiotherapists and clinical support staff at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
• Manage the day-to-day operational aspects and planning of physiotherapy staff in the subacute wards, working with the Director of Physiotherapy to ensure quality outcomes.
• Contribute to service development, education and research in the department.
