Senior Pharmacist – Haematology

About the role

The Senior Pharmacist will lead the delivery of high‑quality, patient‑focused pharmacy services for haematology and bone‑marrow transplant patients. Reporting to Melbourne Health, you will direct, plan and review specialised pharmacy services while supporting a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to haematology and bone‑marrow transplant units.
• Assess, design and implement pharmacy programmes that meet patient‑focused KPIs.
• Deliver education and training to pharmacy staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead quality‑use‑of‑medicine initiatives and safety projects.
• Manage on‑call, after‑hours and weekend pharmacy coverage.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with AHPRA.
• Extensive clinical pharmacy experience in haematology; allogeneic stem‑cell transplant experience desirable.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a pharmacy team.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or commitment to obtain one (desirable).
