Senior Occupational Therapist - Home Therapy Services

About the role

Vista Healthcare provides home therapy services to people with disabilities and the elderly living in the community and in residential facilities, with a team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and exercise physiologists. It is looking for a full-time Senior Occupational Therapist in Sydney who has a diverse range of experience, including a senior role preferably in a community setting. The role involves supporting and leading the current OT team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support, leadership and mentoring to junior OT team members.
• Conduct client assessments and therapy for paediatric and adult clients, depending on experience and interests.
• Solve both clinical and non-clinical problems in day-to-day work.
• Complete professional development activities and apply skills to various clinical situations.
• Use clinical reasoning skills across a variety of conditions.
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders regarding patient care.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Occupational Therapist, with at least 12 months in a community setting.
• Experience with NDIS and DVA clients preferred; public hospital and/or NDIS experience highly desired.
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist (preferred).
• Current driver's licence and own car (company car option for full-time staff).
• Willingness to obtain necessary checks as required.

• Able to work independently and provide clinical supervision to other staff where appropriate.
• Open to feedback and confident in their role.
