About the role

Teachers Health is seeking multiple Senior Mobile App Developers to join its Digital Member Experience team. You will shape how members interact with the organisation by building high‑quality native iOS and Android applications in a greenfield digital transformation environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain native iOS and Android apps that enhance the member experience.
  • Lead technical and architectural decisions, ensuring scalability, performance and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering teams to deliver seamless, user‑centric mobile solutions.
  • Write clean, well‑tested code using modern mobile development practices.
  • Manage app releases, store submissions and platform compliance.
  • Partner with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs.
  • Implement secure data handling, authentication, offline capabilities and performance optimisations.
  • Champion quality through code reviews, automated testing, documentation and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a high‑performing engineering culture.
  • Stay current with emerging mobile technologies and propose innovative ideas.

Required profile

  • 5+ years of professional mobile development experience with strong native iOS and/or Android expertise.
  • Proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin and deep knowledge of mobile ecosystems and app‑store processes.
  • Experience designing scalable mobile architectures and production‑grade applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile testing frameworks such as XCTest or Espresso.
  • Proven ability to work in cross‑functional product teams and communicate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering best practices.
  • Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience across both iOS and Android platforms, CI/CD pipelines and mobile DevOps is a plus.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive design and analytics tools such as GA4 is advantageous.
