Senior Mechanical Engineer – Perth

About the role

Agilitus is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Perth team. You will support and expand engineering and design capabilities across resources, energy and industrial projects, delivering high‑quality mechanical solutions that meet client specifications and Australian standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex mechanical and piping design tasks from concept through to commissioning with minimal supervision.
• Interpret project scope, identify design constraints and propose cost‑effective solutions early in the project lifecycle.
• Manage small to mid‑sized projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to graduate and junior engineers.
• Review and cross‑check work submitted by junior engineers, offering constructive feedback before final submission.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical).
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical and piping design within resources, energy or industrial sectors.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of applicable mechanical and piping design standards and guidelines.
