About the role
KPMG’s State Taxes team is a market‑leading, dynamic group working on high‑profile transactions across Australia. As a Senior Manager you will lead tax due‑diligence, structuring and post‑deal implementation projects for clients in private equity, infrastructure, property, financial services and more.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct tax due‑diligence for buy‑side and sell‑side transactions, identifying duty and land tax exposures.
- Advise on duty consequences of mergers, acquisitions, restructures and divestments.
- Prepare submissions, lodgements, applications, rulings and objections to revenue authorities.
- Provide tax research, planning advice and risk‑management support to clients.
Required profile
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Law combined with Accounting, Commerce, Economics or equivalent.
- Recent M&A/transactional experience is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work client‑facing and drive personal development.
