Senior Manager, Risk Culture

About the role

This senior‑manager position leads the development and embedding of risk culture across ANZ. As the risk‑culture subject‑matter expert, you will shape frameworks, metrics and governance that drive sound risk behaviours throughout the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of ANZ’s culture and risk‑culture strategy aligned with enterprise goals, values and regulatory expectations.
• Evolve frameworks, measures, metrics, reporting and governance rhythms to track and strengthen risk culture over time.
• Embed risk culture into risk architecture, leadership forums, decision‑making processes, employee‑lifecycle moments and operational routines.
• Lead risk‑culture assessments, diagnostics, deep dives and thematic reviews using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Observe behaviours in governance and decision‑making forums to understand values‑led risk actions.
• Translate complex cultural, behavioural, customer, risk and business inputs into clear insights, visualisations and executive‑ready narratives.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders on behavioural root causes, risk patterns and enterprise read‑across.
• Recommend practical interventions that strengthen constructive challenge, accountability and sustainable behaviour change.
• Partner across Risk, the business, Talent and other functions to drive cultural uplift.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a risk‑culture or risk‑management leader in a large financial institution.
• Deep understanding of behavioural insight and its application to risk outcomes.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and translate strategic advice into actionable interventions.
• Strong analytical capability to generate insights from qualitative and quantitative sources.
• Excellent communication skills for executive‑level storytelling and visualisation.
