Senior Manager - Regulatory Relations, APRA and ASIC

About the role

The Senior Manager – Regulatory Relations leads ANZ’s enterprise‑wide engagement with Australia’s key financial regulators, APRA and ASIC. You will ensure that regulatory communications and submissions are timely, accurate and aligned with the bank’s risk policies, while providing senior leaders with clear insight into regulatory matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage ANZ’s enterprise relationships with APRA and ASIC, delivering clear and consistent regulatory communication.
• Coordinate and oversee regulatory interactions, submissions and responses across the bank.
• Provide trusted advice to senior leaders on regulator expectations and emerging issues.
• Review and challenge contributions to regulatory submissions to ensure high‑quality responses.
• Develop collaborative relationships with business, risk and compliance stakeholders to drive proactive regulatory management.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for supporting APRA and ASIC regulatory interactions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in regulatory relations, compliance or risk within the financial services sector.
• Strong stakeholder management and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential matters.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Excellent judgment and communication skills, both written and verbal.
