Senior Manager - Integration Talent Pool

About the role

We are creating a talent pool of senior managers to support the Integration business area within the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. The pool will fill two immediate senior‑manager positions – Water Measurement and Coordination & Support – and may be used for future vacancies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and governance for the Statewide Water Measurement Programme, ensuring data quality, safety and alignment with state water science and planning needs.
• Lead a specialist branch that delivers best‑practice water and environmental regulatory decision‑making, overseeing governance forums and digital regulatory systems.
• Collaborate with regional leaders, reform initiatives and other Statewide Delivery teams to drive alignment and evidence‑based outcomes.
• Manage resources, adaptive planning and continuous improvement of monitoring networks and regulatory processes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level leadership experience in water resources, environmental regulation or related public‑sector domains.
• Ability to operate at a system level, influence complex stakeholders and deliver strategic outcomes.
• Strong governance, coordination and change‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Water data management and monitoring expertise.
• Experience with digital regulatory platforms and governance frameworks.
