Senior Manager – Consulting (Data, Digital, AI & Cyber Security)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing consulting firm in Canberra that delivers data, digital, AI and cyber‑security transformation for government and private‑sector clients. The Senior Manager will lead complex, client‑facing engagements, shape delivery approaches and work directly with senior stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of consulting engagements or major workstreams, ensuring scope, quality, timelines and outcomes are met.
• Design engagement approaches, delivery structures and governance frameworks that translate client objectives into clear, achievable programmes.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a primary point of contact and advisor.
• Identify, assess and mitigate delivery risks, escalating issues when necessary.
• Review and quality‑assure key deliverables to ensure they are evidence‑based and client‑ready.
• Coach, mentor and develop consultants and senior consultants, fostering a high‑performing team culture.
• Provide oversight across multiple concurrent engagements and contribute to business development and market growth.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in consulting, advisory, policy or professional services with a proven track record of leading client engagements or large workstreams.
• Background in a major consulting or professional services firm (e.g., Big Four, Accenture, Synergy) is highly regarded.
• Strong delivery leadership skills, able to manage teams, priorities and competing demands in complex environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, comfortable engaging senior executives and government officials.
• Experience in one or more domains: data and digital, project and change management, AI or cyber security.
• Australian citizenship with NV1 security clearance.
