Senior Manager - Central Compliance, Obligations Management

About the role

The Central Compliance team at ANZ is responsible for embedding regulatory requirements across the organisation. As Senior Manager – Obligations Management you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Obligations Management Framework, ensuring that regulatory obligations are identified, assigned, monitored and embedded throughout the enterprise. You will provide enterprise‑wide oversight, maintain the Obligations Library and work closely with business, risk and compliance partners to deliver high‑quality reporting to senior management and the Board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of ANZ's Obligations Management Framework, policies and standards.
• Provide guidance, oversight and constructive challenges to Obligation Owners to ensure obligations are clearly understood and effectively managed.
• Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the Obligations Library and associated governance processes.
• Oversee robust processes for identifying, assessing and implementing regulatory change across the organisation.
• Partner with business, Risk and Compliance stakeholders to ensure evidence of compliance is maintained and outcomes are actively monitored.
• Deliver executive and Board reporting on obligations management, compliance risks and emerging themes.
• Drive continuous improvement in compliance processes and risk culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in compliance, risk or regulatory roles within the financial services sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead senior stakeholders and influence organisational change.
• Strong understanding of regulatory obligations, change management and governance frameworks.
• Experience managing a compliance framework or obligations library at an enterprise level.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills for senior management and board audiences.
