Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will lead the development, improvement, and delivery of machine‑learning models for DeepHealth’s clinical AI products. This hands‑on role spans data preparation, experimentation, model development, evaluation, and production deployment, collaborating with ML peers, software engineers, clinicians, and product partners.

Key responsibilities

• Improve existing production models through systematic error analysis, better data, targeted experiments, and architectural changes.
• Develop new models from problem formulation through feasibility studies, training, validation, and integration into production.
• Partner with clinicians and product teams to define evaluation criteria such as sensitivity, specificity, and clinical impact.
• Build reproducible training and evaluation pipelines with traceable datasets, experiments, and model versions.
• Collaborate with software engineers to optimise inference speed, resource usage, and operational reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing and delivering machine‑learning models, especially in deep learning and computer vision.
• Proven track record of taking complex problems from concept to deployed solutions in production.
• Strong ability to work autonomously and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• PyTorch deep‑learning framework.
• Deep learning and computer‑vision techniques (image classification, detection, segmentation).
• Model deployment and performance monitoring in production environments.
• Software‑engineering best practices: maintainable code, testing, version control (Git), reproducibility.
