Job description
About the role
A major bank in Sydney is looking for a Senior AI Engineer focused on Microsoft 365 Copilot for a 10-month contract. You will work alongside engineers and cross-functional specialists to assess, test and securely roll out capabilities across Microsoft 365 Copilot, ChatGPT/OpenAI and Anthropic technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Assess new AI features and model releases for user impact, data flows, permissions, privacy, security, administrative controls and data loss prevention (DLP).
- Test capabilities in the enterprise environment, document findings and work with vendors to investigate and resolve issues.
- Manage end-to-end feature delivery, including risk and impact assessments, controlled rollout and operational readiness.
- Maintain engineering and governance records covering technical findings, assumptions, decisions, risk ownership and monitoring requirements.
- Troubleshoot Copilot and other AI platform issues involving policies, permissions and configuration, and support incident resolution and user follow-up.
- Contribute to solutions and automation using Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft Graph and scripting where required.
- Work with cyber security, risk, privacy, solution architecture and platform support teams so capabilities are secure, governed and supportable.
- Partner with change management colleagues on playbooks, user guides and communications that help business users adopt new features.
- Identify practical improvements to delivery and support processes and take ownership of progressing them.
Required profile
- Practical experience with enterprise AI technologies, particularly Microsoft 365 Copilot and ChatGPT/OpenAI, with an understanding of the wider AI platform ecosystem.
- Experience assessing, testing, deploying and supporting technology changes in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security controls, including Microsoft Purview, DLP, permissions, privacy and policy management.
- Technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to turn business requirements into technical assessments and delivery activities.
- Knowledge of application lifecycle management, DevOps and CI/CD practices for controlled, automated delivery.
- A proactive, self-directed approach: able to own tasks, follow through and improve processes without constant direction.
