Senior Lecturer Medicine (Part-Time)

About the role

The School of Medicine within the Faculty of Health is seeking a part-time Senior Lecturer in Medicine based at Liverpool Clinical School. The position is 7 hours per week (0.2 FTE) and is ongoing. It sits in an integrated academic and clinical environment combining medical education, research and clinical engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate medicine programs, covering curriculum development, assessment, feedback and student support.
• Support Year 5 medical students during their Medicine placements at Liverpool Clinical School, and assist students with Grand Round presentations and related teaching.
• Contribute to curriculum development and the quality of undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Undertake research and scholarly activity aligned with the discipline.
• Contribute to clinical service delivery and departmental responsibilities at partner hospitals, strengthening the integration of teaching, research and clinical practice.

Required profile

• A doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation and standing; candidates working towards a PhD are also considered.
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia through AHPRA.
• Specialist training as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and consultant-level experience in a relevant clinical field.
• Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching, curriculum development and course delivery, including online delivery methods.
• A strong research track record and experience supervising students.
