Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join Elders on a permanent, full‑time basis. The role will lead end‑to‑end audits across multiple business areas, providing independent insights that strengthen governance, risk and control frameworks within Australia’s leading agribusiness.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, scope, execute and report on audits, including fieldwork and validation of findings.
• Develop risk assessments, audit programs and testing strategies.
• Produce draft audit scopes, objectives and detailed workpapers.
• Present findings and pragmatic recommendations to management.
• Monitor and track management action plans.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology, templates, analytics and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI within the internal audit function.

Required profile

• Solid internal audit experience in a multi‑site or complex organisational environment.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑starter who owns delivery and escalates challenges promptly.
• Strong customer focus with ability to understand and support business operations.
• Problem‑solving mindset and ability to provide effective solutions.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across Australia.
