Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Alcoa is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Perth office. You will provide independent assurance on internal controls, support SOX compliance, and help shape audit processes across Australia and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the annual internal audit plan, including all SOX audits.
• Coordinate audit preparation, schedules, and logistics with sites and audit teams.
• Conduct fieldwork, assess controls, evaluate processes, and produce clear, actionable findings.
• Prepare and distribute audit reports, ensuring complete workpapers and compliance with internal reporting requirements.
• Support training, facilitate risk and control processes, and contribute to projects that improve business operations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Accounting or Finance.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in internal or external audit, with exposure to accounting, finance or business environments.
