Senior Interior Designer - Design and Construct Workplace Projects

About the role

An established Melbourne-based studio known for delivering high-performing workplace environments that balance creativity and usability is seeking an experienced senior interior designer with experience in a design and construct (D&C) environment. The role leads complex workplace projects, builds client relationships and inspires project teams, and suits a confident design leader who thrives at the front end and understands how great ideas become built outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workplace projects from early pitch and concept through to construction delivery
• Drive client presentations, design narratives and front-end engagement
• Oversee project teams, giving clear direction, mentorship and design leadership
• Ensure projects meet best-practice workplace strategies, compliance and commercial objectives
• Guide documentation, construction coordination, value management and D&C processes

Required profile

• 10 or more years of experience in interior design, including workplace interior projects delivered in a D&C environment
• Strong ability in client-facing roles, pitching and winning work
• Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex project workflows

Required skills

• Solid understanding of construction, buildability, documentation, costing and value management
• Working knowledge of Revit, building codes and Design & Construct delivery models
