Senior HSEQ Internal Auditor – Adelaide or Brisbane

About the role

Kelsian is seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Internal Auditor to work from either its Adelaide or Brisbane office. The role provides independent assurance across Kelsian’s Australian transport operations, challenging risk controls and helping raise the maturity of health, safety, environment and quality management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a risk‑based HSEQ assurance programme for all Australian operations, reporting systemic issues and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.
• Conduct internal audits supporting external ISO certification audits for ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
• Monitor corrective actions, prepare executive‑level assurance reports and track audit findings and trends.
• Undertake regular site visits to assess compliance, provide expert guidance and promote continuous improvement.
• Partner with global HSEQ teams, monitor regulatory developments and contribute to policy and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of legislative compliance, risk‑based auditing and non‑conformance management.
• Proven ability to influence senior operational leaders and drive behavioural change.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong analytical, data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
• Minimum 5 years’ HSEQ compliance, audit or risk‑management experience in a complex, multi‑site environment.

Required skills

• Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 9001.
• In‑depth understanding of International Standards ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.
• Risk‑based auditing and audit data visualisation.
