Senior HSEQ Advisor

About the role

Centurion is seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to join its Mackay team. You will play a key role in strengthening the safety culture, supporting operational teams and driving continuous improvement across health, safety, environment and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of HSEQ strategic and tactical plans.
• Coach and mentor operational teams on HSEQ processes, tools and responsibilities.
• Develop and review risk assessments, procedures and Safe Work Procedures with Operations.
• Conduct workplace inspections, internal audits and support external audits.
• Deliver HSEQ training and provide tools such as risk assessments and Permit to Work.
• Lead critical incident investigations and support other investigations as required.
• Analyse HSEQ trends, report on KPIs and develop HSE alerts to drive improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a generalist HSEQ role, preferably within transport or logistics.
• Strong experience conducting and leading incident investigations.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, Chain of Responsibility, road safety and environmental requirements.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work through complex operational challenges.
