Senior HIL Engineer

About the role

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is seeking a Senior Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) Engineer to lead the design and automation of HIL testing for fleet‑management and ADAS systems. You will work within a sustainable, innovation‑driven environment, collaborating with global experts to deliver high‑quality validation solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automation frameworks that enable efficient HIL testing of fleet‑management and ADAS systems.
• Set up and maintain integrated HIL infrastructure, including devices under test, sensors, and other hardware components.
• Identify, prioritize, and automate test cases to optimise the testing process.
• Evaluate, benchmark, and select automation tools and solutions based on project needs.
• Implement automated testing, develop test scripts, and execute automated test cases.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the automation infrastructure during test execution.
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams for requirement analysis and issue resolution.

Required profile

• Strong experience with HIL simulation platforms (NI, Speedgoat, dSPACE, MicroAutoBox, Vector CANoe).
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, and C++ programming.
• Hands‑on expertise in HIL testing, virtual simulation, and validation of automotive systems.
• Familiarity with software and embedded testing, including integration testing, DDS, CAN protocols, and real‑time simulation.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub or equivalents).
