Senior Group Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join an ASX‑listed global resources company as it moves from project development into construction and production. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the finance function across Australia and South America.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly consolidated management reporting and financial analysis.
• Coordinate group budgeting, forecasting and budget consolidations.
• Develop and maintain financial models for project development, financing and strategic initiatives.
• Support lender reporting, covenant compliance and financing activities.
• Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions and emerging standards.
• Partner with finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive continuous improvement, reporting enhancements and systems development.
• Contribute to strategic corporate projects and executive decision‑making.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience across Big 4, mid‑tier and commercial environments.
• Strong background in financial reporting, consolidations and budgeting.
• Experience in listed, multinational or complex group structures.
• Ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Mining industry experience is highly regarded.
