About the role
A national building services engineering firm, known for its reputation and consistent delivery of consulting services, is adding to its Fire team. It is looking for a Senior Registered Fire Protection Engineer, ideally a Professional Engineer or a Senior Fire Services Engineer with a strong local consultancy background, who can lead the department and train junior staff.
Key responsibilities
- Design fire protection systems for commercial, residential, institutional and/or retail projects
- Provide consulting advice and design of sprinklers, hydrants and hose reels, fire detection and alarm, emergency warning and intercom systems, gas suppression systems and fire extinguishers
- Develop and present integrated fire protection solutions to clients
- Lead the department and train junior staff
- Work autonomously and face clients directly
Required profile
- Relevant engineering tertiary qualification
- 5 to 12+ years designing fire protection systems
- Local consultancy and design experience in wet and dry fire systems
- Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant codes of practice
