Senior Facilities Manager

About the role

Airservices Australia is seeking experienced Senior Facilities Managers to lead facilities and property outcomes across infrastructure supporting Australia's aviation network. There are two opportunities, one in Brisbane and one in Melbourne, reporting to the National Facilities Lead. The role provides regional leadership while driving nationally consistent facilities management practices, covering asset performance, maintenance programs, contractor delivery, governance and strategic infrastructure planning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead facilities management services across the region so that assets and infrastructure remain safe, compliant and operationally effective.
• Provide leadership across the Facilities Management network, driving consistent governance, standards and service delivery.
• Manage maintenance programs, contractor performance and asset lifecycle planning.
• Lead audit, compliance and risk management activities across the facilities portfolio.
• Oversee facilities contracts and service providers for strong performance, compliance and value for money.
• Support business continuity, operational resilience and strategic facilities initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience in facilities management, property operations or infrastructure environments.
• Experience managing critical building infrastructure, including fire protection and mechanical services.
• Sound knowledge of governance, audit, assurance and compliance requirements.
• Strong commercial, financial and contract management capability.
• Experience managing operational and strategic risk in complex organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, and proven ability to lead and develop teams.
• Regular travel to operational sites and a strong on-site presence.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance and an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
