Senior Estimator

About the role

An established Canberra-based contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to take ownership of its estimating function and help secure and deliver a pipeline of demolition, remediation, civil and enabling works projects. The role reports directly to senior leadership and supports commercial outcomes across a varied portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, specifications, site information and reports
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs and pricing schedules
• Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Manage tender clarifications, RFIs and site inspections
• Prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation
• Assist with contract negotiations and commercial reviews
• Support variation pricing, cost planning and risk assessments
• Contribute to project forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Estimator in construction, civil, demolition or related sectors
• Strong understanding of tendering, procurement and commercial management
• Ability to interpret contracts, specifications and technical documentation
• High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities
• Relevant construction, quantity surveying or project management qualifications highly regarded
