Senior Engineer

About the role

Join Iress Wealth as a Senior Engineer and drive the evolution of our flagship Xplan product. You will work across the full product lifecycle, delivering high‑quality, resilient software for a leading financial services platform.

Key responsibilities

• Produce robust, resilient software by developing new code and improving existing code, ensuring quality is built‑in with automated testing.
• Provide technical input on requirements, support software solutions, and troubleshoot issues beyond primary ownership.
• Mentor junior engineers, document and automate work to minimise key‑person risk, and collaborate across technology groups.
• Lead design of features and non‑functional outcomes, automate manual processes, and contribute to platform services.
• Ensure software security, address any inadequacies promptly, and manage dependencies, issues, and risks across teams.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and contribute to effective team outcomes.
• Growth mindset, eager to mentor others and tackle complex technical challenges.
• Experience in application architecture, clean code principles, and designing for scale.
