Senior Drainage Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Drainage Engineer to join its Water Resources team in Brisbane. You will work on infrastructure projects that improve community resilience and support sustainable development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate drainage engineering projects from concept through to delivery.
• Develop innovative and sustainable drainage designs that meet client and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• RPEQ accreditation.
• Proven drainage experience in civil infrastructure projects, especially road and rail.
• Experience with Austroads guidelines, QLD TMR standards and specifications; knowledge of QUDM is desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 12d software.
• Proficiency with DRAINS software.
• Proficiency with MUSIC software.
