Senior Director, Transactions

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead transaction execution within Ankura’s Sydney Transactions, Turnaround & Restructuring practice. Reporting to the Senior Managing Director, you will work on middle‑market and large‑cap M&A and debt advisory engagements, partnering with senior client stakeholders and driving deal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end execution of M&A and debt transactions, supporting senior leadership and interfacing with key client stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach associate and senior associate team members, contributing to capability development and a collaborative culture.
• Maintain and grow senior client relationships, ensuring high‑quality service and repeat business.
• Develop new business opportunities by building relationships with clients, prospects and referral sources, and participating in deal origination.

Required profile

• Proven lead advisory experience in transaction execution, with strong commercial judgement.
• Confidence in interacting with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to accelerate career in deals.
