Senior DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & Security

About the role

FMClarity is scaling its SaaS platform for facilities and maintenance management and needs a senior DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its cloud infrastructure. You will ensure the platform is secure, reliable, cost‑effective and ready for rapid feature delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve FMClarity’s cloud infrastructure across production and non‑production environments.
• Manage and optimise AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, security and delivery layers.
• Monitor deployment and infrastructure health, troubleshoot production issues and provide operational diagnostics to development teams.
• Partner with developers to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, introducing tools and practices for efficient releases.
• Maintain cloud security posture: network segmentation, security‑group design, WAF implementation and infrastructure hardening following CIS benchmarks.
• Administer identity and access management across key systems, including Google Workspace provisioning and access control.

Required profile

• Senior‑level, hands‑on experience managing large‑scale deployments in AWS.
• Broad knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, with exposure to GCP or Azure).
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production incidents and improve reliability.
• Strong focus on cloud security, compliance and cost optimisation.
• Collaborative mindset to work closely with development teams.

• AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, WAF, etc.)
• Containerisation with ECS and Kubernetes
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar
• Database and cache services (NoSQL, RDBMS, Redis, etc.)
• Cloud security frameworks and CIS benchmarks
• Identity and access management, Google Workspace administration
