Senior Data Analyst (SAP SuccessFactors)

About the role

A global mining company is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a small team supporting its People Transformation and SuccessFactors optimisation program. This is a hands-on role working with complex datasets across multiple SAP SuccessFactors and SAP ECC systems, helping establish accurate, consistent and reliable data to support system configuration, process standardisation and sound business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, consolidate, manipulate and analyse large datasets from SuccessFactors and related enterprise systems.
• Identify and investigate data anomalies, inconsistencies, duplicates and gaps, working with business and technical teams to resolve their root causes.
• Reconcile employee, position and organisational data across sources, including effective-dated records and organisational hierarchies.
• Develop repeatable data cleansing, transformation and validation processes, documented and traceable.
• Support testing and validate data outcomes after system configuration and process changes.
• Translate complex findings into clear insights and practical recommendations.
• Apply contemporary data tools and AI capabilities to improve efficiency and analytical quality, while validating outputs and keeping data confidential.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in data management, extraction, manipulation and analysis, with substantial hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors or SAP S/4HANA.
• Demonstrated experience engaging senior stakeholders, facilitating meetings and building consensus across business and technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain complex technical problems clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Attention to detail, critical thinking and a proactive, self-starting approach; previous experience in mining or a complex global organisation is preferred.
• Must be based in Perth, Western Australia and hold full Australian working rights.

• Power Query, SQL, Power BI, Python and other AI tools (highly regarded)
